Chocolate peanut brittle


Chocolate Peanut Brittle

Melt the following ingredients until bubbly:

1/4 cup butter
1 cup corn syrup
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla

Stir in:

2 cups peanuts and heat through again
Remove from heat and mix in:

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Spread into a large, greased cookie sheet that has sides. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips




cover with another cookie sheet as below and let it sit until the chocolate chips have melted





Spread the melted chocolate chips around evenly

Let it sit to cool off then chill in fridge until everything hardens. It should break easily into solid chunks as below.



Break into irregular chunks and place on a pretty platter!:)

Look how yummy they look!!

See the peanuts?!


It won't sit there looking pretty for long.........................

We were given some chocolate peanut brittle for Christmas. I may have to try making it myself!
