bacon potato casserole recipe~

This casserole below is a yummy way to use up leftover mashed potatoes

Fry a package of bacon and cut into bite sized pieces. Next add water to the pan of bacon and bacon drippings and thicken with a gravy thickener(I use Knorr brand) Add some garlic and pepper to taste and pour over the left over mashed potatoes. Top with grated cheddar cheese and melt in oven for about 20 minutes or so:) Serve with garlic bread and a salad. Enjoy!

( I also make this with previously sliced potatoes that are sliced ~into thin circles~ and boiled slowly for about 4 minutes~ )

casserole looks delicious. The boys' room looks great too! I was loading the dishwasher when I suddenly thought of something I wanted to post...but then got sidetracked reading everyone else's blog....I'll get there...but it might get to be a late night again...

Such a shame...there are never any leftover mashed potatoes here. I'll have to make some fresh just for this. It sounds yummy.

I think I'll go make mashed potatoes just to make this casserole. Yummy! I had my gall bladder removed - so I'm good ☺
