No roll pie crust

Here is my no roll pie crust recipe which I refer to and use often because it saves me time and is so simple to make!

No roll Pie crust

4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups butter
2/3 cup butter milk
1/2 tsp baking powder

Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut butter in gradually alternating with small amounts of buttermilk. Mix up thoroughly but do not over mix and do not knead. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Press into 2 greased pie pans going up the sides of the pan as well. Fill crust with your favorite filling then take the saved portion of dough and rip into little pieces dropping randomly on the filling to kind of cover the top of the pie. Gently press down with hand. Bake your pie and enjoy it!! One good tip for baking pies is to cover the pie with aluminum foil so the middle cooks through before the crust would turn dark!!!!! I usually bake the pie covered until the filling is cooked then take it off and finish baking until the crust is the right colour.
