pizza crust recipe~

Today I made pizza and salad for dinner. Here is the recipe for the pizza crust

Homemade pizza (makes 2 huge pizzas) Ingredients:

~2 1/2 cups warm water

~2 tsp salt

~2 tbs sugar

~1/2 cup oil

~4 cups flour

~1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour

~flour for kneading

~1 tbs instant yeast Method: Place ingredients into your bread machine in the order listed (make sure your bread machine is big enough to handle so much dough. My old one was but my new one is not so I knead the dough by hand).) Set on pizza cycle. (If kneading by hand...set to rise for about 20 minutes after kneading and before rolling out)

When done remove and split dough into 2 portions. Place on floured (extra large) pizza pans. Take a rolling pin and roll the dough right on your pans toward the edges on all sides or jsut work it with your hands. Roll it until it's almost as big as the pan. Stretch the dough with your hands the rest of the way. Stretch it over the edges as in the picture. Let your dough sit for 15 minutes covered with tea towels. Next spread your pizza dough with pizza sauce then add the rest of your toppings. Then fold the overhanging dough up over the edge of your pizza pan on all sides to form a crust. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for about 25-30 minutes or until done. For a thinner crust do not stretch the dough over the pans, simply for the crust with your fingers round and round the edge of the pan! Enjoy!!
