I am learning that the more fresh uncooked foods I incorporate the better I feel.
Same with having a sweet tooth. The more fresh foods you incorporate, while cutting out refined sugars... The less you crave sweets... BUT sometimes the body does truly need a bit of sugar. The trick is then to get these sugars from sources that won't make you crave the junky kind!
This salad recipe below is super satisfying with just the right amount of sweetness and crunch to satisfy a true sweet craving:) I love that it's veggie based and not junk based!
My 16 year old tried it and liked it too...
Zucchini salad
1 zucchini peeled and chopped
1/2 apple chopped
Small handful of raw pecans
Tiny handful each of dried goji berries, raisins and craisins
2 chopped dried figs
1 small banana mashed
Mix it all up thoroughly until mashed banana coats everything. Enjoy!

strange you feel that about raw food because my daughter is gone 80% raw food (she is also off gluten and dairy food) she finds she is so so much better!
