Fancy ginger snaps
1 1/2 cups softened butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 tbl spoon water
1/2 cup molasses
4 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp fresh grated ginger root
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp allspice
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
Handful of chopped pecans
Large handful of dark chocolate chips
Place wet ingredient in your kitchen aid in the order listed and give it a really good mix before adding the dry ingredients. Mix well and form little balls about the size of a regular cookie. Roll each ball in sugar then place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Press a small amount of chopped pecans into each cookie then bake for about 5 min in a 350 F degree oven until slightly golden. Allow cookies to cool before drizzling with melted chocolate chips. You can melt your chocolate chips by adding a little bit of water as you stir and heat in a small pot. Add more water if too thick :) The melted chocolate should be the consistency of a thick syrup and it will harden as it cools off on the cookie.
