~First holiday recipe of the week

Now here is the first of many "holiday favorites" recipes to be posted this week!


"tastes like coconut and the sweetness of cherry and chocolate fudge combined together"

said my wise taste tester:)


This recipe was originally found in a "company coming" cookbook but I revamped it to make a larger amount and to suit my needs.


Chocolate cherry slice

Base:

3 cups chocolate chips

1/2 cup whipping cream

melt and spread into a thoroughly greased 9x13 pan. Chill in the freezer before adding the filling.

Filling:

4 eggs

1 cup sugar

3 cups coconut

1 cup glazed cherries chopped

Beat the eggs then add the other ingredients. Spread over chilled base and bake a 350F oven until golden and firm.
