~Homemade custard!~


This is great for topping crepes, especially when served together with homemade strawberry sauce!

Bring to a boil:

4 cups whole milk(I use the microwave because the milk doesn't scald)

In a seperate bowl mix:
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
enough milk to make a pourable paste

add to boiled milk
1 tsp vanilla

Then slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the the boiled milk while stirring constantly. Bring back to a boil (keep stirring!!) and simmer until desired thickness is achieved.
