Raspberry apple pie

I had some raspberries and apples on hand so I made raspberry apple pie. I used previously frozen berries so they were quite juicy when thawed.

Raspberry Apple pie filling (fills 2 pies)

Ingredients:

~3 cups thawed raspberries
~3 chopped apples
~1 tsp vanilla
~1 1/2 cups sugar
~3/4 cup flour

Method:

Mix all ingredients and pour into 2 prepared pie shells. Top with lattice top and bake covered in tin foil until fruit is soft then uncovered until it looks done:) Very simple:)

Picture below: the filling

The finished product. I did what Julie recommends which is to brush the pastry with a light coat of milk and sprinkle with sugar before baking. That was a real nice touch.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Do you want some with whipping cream???
