~Pasta salad recipe and "bit of life" post~

I made some pasta last night which in my opinion was very very yum!

Here is what I did:

I got some multi colored spiral pasta cooking.....while it was cooking I sauteed some onions and red peppers in some butter, then added a couple teaspoons of water and some frozen peas and carrots and some spices such as salt, pepper and garlic spice mix. I covered it and let the frozen veggies steam to perfection. After draining the pasta I added the steamed veggie mixture to the pasta and mixed in some feta cheese crumbles. Finally I mixed in a generous helping of mayo.
It was deliciously served with roast chicken and some carrot sticks on the side.
I also made a gluten free version for myself with corn pasta~the smaller pot in the picture

I love pasta. But not one person in my family will hardly eat it. I'm so bummed!! This looks and sounds great.

I have a question for you, well, actually two. I would like to try your wheat bread recipe, but I don't have wheat bran. Can I still make it without that? And then, would it work if I halved the recipe to make 3 loaves at a time instead of 6? Thanks for posting all your recipes!

Lisa: I have no idea:) I've never made half the recipe or subbed ingredients. I'm guessing sunflower seeds instead would work.
